The following are suggestions to help students be successful in high school and beyond.

   STUDY AND SCHOOL TIPS

Use your agenda!!!

*      Use lunch activity for:  extra help, tests, make up work. Get to know your teacher, study groups, tutoring, homework, library.

*      Ask questions, ask for help in class.

*      Problem?  Issue?  Question?  Speak to your teacher first.

DO YOUR HOMEWORK EVERY NIGHT!!!

Get a tutor, see your counselor.

If absent, see teacher for catch-up work.  IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY!!!

Know your learning style – how to study best.

BE ORGANIZED!!!  Use binders, agenda, locker and backpack, go to bed early, be     organized for the next day.

*      Be prepared for class – it makes it so much easier!

*      Participate in class – even if once a day.

*      Use strategies to study – flash cards, 2 column notes. . .

*      Use the computer for papers and spell check.

Know your progress in class.

*      Do you know your grade?

*      Do you know why you have that grade?

*      Ask!

Take notes and compare them to others.

Study, review material every night and before tests.

DON’T EVER GIVE UP!!!

IT IS YOUR EDUCATION and YOUR LIFE.  TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR LEARNING!!!
