The Tail of Emily Windsnap is about a young girl who lives with her mother on a house boat. At the beginning of the school year Emily signs up for swim class. When she gets in the water she starts out great, but then her legs start to stick together and she almost downs. The teacher, Bob, saves her and tells her to stay out of the water. Every time she went to the beach, her legs tuned into a tail!

Then one night she met a reel mermaid. Her name was Shona. Emily and Shona went on adventures. Shona had a secret about Emily’s father. What will she do when she finds out what the secret is?

This book is so amazing you won’t be able to put it down. I know I couldn’t. I love how Emily is tells the story. This book helped me write a very good fantasy book. You will be so amazed what Emily does in this book. The detail in this book made me feel like I was Emily. I have reed the second book (Monster of the Deep) now I am on the third (Castle in the Mist). I hope you have as much fun as I did reading this book.
