This book is mainly about Tally, Shay, and David and takes place in a town called “Ugly Town.” In Ugly Town, when you reach your sixteenth birthday you get an operation that makes you look like a supermodel. But then Tally meets a new friend named Shay, who is not sure she wants to be pretty and runs away, Tally can’t become a pretty until she finds shay. The specials give tally a special locket that Tally can activate when she finds shay and the mysterious David.

I really enjoyed this book I thought it was an eye opener, because it is a mystery along with the adventure of tally young blood making her way to the smoke and back again. I think scoot Wethersfield wrote this book to entertain.
