- First semester final examinations are being held this week at HKHS.

-The Board of Education has appointed Cathy Luisi as the Interim Director of Transportation.  Cathy succeeds Michael Zanelli who resigned his position and continues to serve the district in the capacity of a bus driver.

-Additional delays with implementing planned modifications to some transportation routes have been postponed due to the resignation of four bus drivers since the start of the new year. These resignations were due to personal reasons or drivers seeking and securing employment elsewhere (not necessarily school bus companies).

-Both the Facilities and Transportation and Personnel Subcommittees continue to work with the Superintendent of Schools and other district leaders to review the various aspects of our Transportation Department to identify short and long term solutions to the district’s recruitment and retention of bus derivers.  We appreciate your patience as we attempt to solve this ongoing issue.
