Family Care Coordinator

Each local and regional board of education is required to hire or designate an existing employee to serve as the family care coordinator for the school district. The family care coordinator works with school social workers, school psychologists and school counselors in the schools under the jurisdiction of the board. The family care coordinator serves as a liaison for the school system with mental health service providers for the purposes of providing students with access to mental health resources within the community bringing mental health services to students inside of the school.
